Many vacationers found themselves distraught on Friday July 4, when going on vacation. With the strike of air controllers, 40% of flights from Paris airports are canceled.

Vacation departures are disrupted on Friday July 4. The trip had been prepared for months.

In total, a thousand flights are canceled from France or on arrival, with 40% of cancellations from Paris airports. Airports in the south of France are also strongly affected, with 30% cancellations in Lyon (Rhône), Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) or Ajaccio (Corse-du-Sud) and 50% in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes). These disturbances are caused by a strike by air controllers. The strike notice runs until Friday, July 4 in the evening.
