In an international context currently tense, France wishes to have a ready defense apparatus, which could go through an increase – or even a doubling of the defense budget.
How much should be increased by the defense budget to support the French military effort? In La Tribune on SundaySébastien Lecornu says it considers a doubling. Today, more than 50 billion euros are allocated to the defense budget in France. This could be 100 billion euros by 2030. “What we offer is not war efforts. These are defense and deterrence efforts ”explains the Minister of the Armed Forces.
The first idea to dig, according to the Minister of the Armed Forces, would be a new special defense savings book. On the morning of Sunday, March 9, at the Rennes market in Ille-et-Vilaine, a resident is rather favorable: “It is not a bad idea indeed. Especially since it is something that would be recoverable ”she explains.
Another track to finance the effort would be to use the money placed on the French savings booklets. But the idea is not unanimous.
