Emilien Jacquelin in Norway, it’s confirmed

Several French biathletes, including Emilien Jacquelin, Justine Braisaz and Lou Jeanmonnot, are expected in Norway this week for a summer competition.

The biathletes of the French team are used to heading for Norway for their pre-season preparation, but this will not be the case this year. The staff opted for several internships in France, at the dawn of this 2025-2026 campaign marked by the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games next February. But several tricolor biathletes will still take a tour of their best Norwegian enemies.

Some blues are in the running at the Blink Festival, a summer competition which takes place from August 6 to 9 this year. Biathletes and engaged founders will in particular tackle a very demanding rise in laces (more than 8 km of ascension at 9 %average), compared to the Alpe d’Huez.

“This event allows you to physically measure yourself on the famous climb of Lysebotn, which is similar to threshold work, while working on the technique on ski-wheelers”, explains Emilien Jacquelin to Dauphiné.

No summer vacation for Emilien Jacquelin and biathletes

This is an opportunity to take stock of the level of preparation, in one direction as in the other. “” A good performance, especially in shooting, and satisfactory results in terms of speed boost insurance. And if we accuse a little delay, which is frequent at this time of the year, it gives a boost for the rest of the preparation ”, summarizes Isérois.

Emilien Jacquelin is in Norway with Eric Perrot, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Lou Jeanmonnot. He sees this Scandinavian hook as a small cut in the preparation, even if he clearly does not make the trip to a tourist. “” It’s exotic, and it feels good. For biathletes as for founders, no question of summer vacation. So, I also see this festival as a parenthesis, a way of changing air, seeing something else and preserving its mental freshness. »»
