Disneyland, its castle and its magic, but also, at the entrance, street vendors. At midday, under the watchful eye of security guards, several of them offered to buy back their tickets from customers who had finished their visit, like a father who sold them for 30 euros for the whole family.
A fraud made possible because the tickets allow unlimited entries and exits. Some people have been bragging about it for years on social media. In one video, two young girls even managed to enter Disney without paying.
An entry today costs 106 euros for a person and 410 euros for a couple and two children. The use of fraud does not surprise a student. “We can completely understand. Someone who doesn’t have the means, it can be advantageous if you come for half a day to pay a ticket less than a whole ticket”he indicates.
To counter this deception, the amusement park installed a visual recognition system at the entrance. “Your photograph will be taken and associated with your adult entry ticket, for the purposes of the legitimate interests of Euro Disney, to combat fraudulent entries”writes the park. Disney undertakes not to retain the photos. In the United States, Disneyland has gone even further. Visitors must present their fingerprint to access the amusement park.
