Sebastian Samuelsson won the pursuit of November Mesto this Saturday, ahead of Tommaso Giacomel, Johannes Boe, and Quentin Fillon Maillet, the best French of the day. Winner of the sprint, Emilien Jacquelin took 8th place.
He had not yet won the slightest race this season, but the error is repaired. Sebastian Samuelsson won this Saturday during the continuation of November Mesto, when he had only finished eleventh of the sprint on Thursday. Leaving 46 seconds late on the winner of the Sprint Emilien Jacquelin, the Swedish almost 28 years old signed a magnificent race, not making the slightest error in shooting and succeeding in the third time of skiing.
After the first shot, Emilien Jacquelin was still in the lead, 24 seconds ahead of Johannes Boe and 32 on Eric Perrot, while Samuelsson was already dressed in fourth place.
It was ultimately after the second shot that Samuelsson took control, thanks to a new flawlessness, while Boe and Jacquelin made one and two mistakes respectively.
J.Boe takes control
The third shot allowed the Swedish to accentuate his advance (23 on Jacquelin and 27 on Giacomel, while Boe had made a new fault). And during the third shot, Jacquelin collapsed, with two new faults to the clock which brought him out of the top 5, while Samuelsson and Giacomel remained solid and that Boe made a new error. But the Norwegian, author of the best skiing time, managed to ensure his place on the podium, 38 seconds from Samuelsson and 12 from Giacomel.
The best Frenchman is ultimately Quentin Fillon Maillet, seventh in the sprint and fourth in the prosecution, despite three shooting faults. But his ski time (the second, less than a second from Boe) allowed him to finish in front of Sturla Laegreid. Emilien Jacquelin finished 8th, Oscar Lombardot 10th and Eric Perrot 11th. Following this race, Johannes Boe heads the World Cup, with 5 points ahead of Laegreid and 238 on Jacquelin. Sunday, a relay will be on the program.
