Travelers will have to be patient on the roads for the last weekend of 2025. The day of Saturday December 27 is classified in red in the direction of departures in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, relays Smart Bisonwhich colored the rest of the Hexagon orange. “Traffic levels will be high from early morning until late evening”warns the National Road Information Center on its website.
The roads are likely to be particularly busy on the routes serving the Atlantic coast (A10, A11), just like those in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. There, the difficulties must be concentrated “on the A7, A39, A40, A43 and A48 motorways, as well as on the eastern Lyon bypass (A46/N346) and access to the Mont-Blanc tunnel (N205)”specifies Bison Futé.
“Traffic should also be very heavy towards the Mediterranean coast (A8, A9 and A61)”according to the forecast service. In Ile-de-France, traffic will start to be difficult from early morning until late afternoon.
In the direction of returns, “high traffic levels are also expected in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, on the A7, A40, A43 motorways and for access to the Mont-Blanc tunnel, mainly from Italy”, Bison Futé advances. The North-East motorways will also be very busy, notably the A4, A6 and A31.
