The French Cycling Federation (FFC) paid tribute to a former French champion, killed by bullets at the age of 39.
It’s a horrible tragedy, a sordid news item. A former French cycling champion, Cindy Morvan, was shot dead on Friday in Calais, victim of her ex-partner’s partner. The latter ended her life a few hours later, indicates AFP.
The French Cycling Federation (FFC) paid tribute on social networks to the one who is described as a
“passionate and committed volunteer for many years”.
A beautiful tribute from the French Cycling Federation
“Licensed at UVC Calais, former French Track champion, holder of a coaching diploma, Cindy was particularly involved in the development of women’s cycling in Nord Pas de Calais. She was also a member of the FFC Ambassadors team”indicates the press release.
The Federation wants to send a strong message,
“by saying NO to all forms of violence”. “Cindy, we will not forget you and we send a special thought to your two children”is added.
