The South Rail SNCF union filed a strike notice from April 17 to June 2. The union denounces the deterioration of working conditions and requires wage increases.
The risk of a strike during the holidays is the obsession of travelers. The date of the strike notice, deposited by Sud Rail, which runs from April 17 to June 2, is not chosen at random. Indeed, it is in the middle of Easter holidays and during the bridges of the month of May. The objective of the controllers, who threaten a strike: bonuses, but also improve working conditions. “The working days continue to be changed day by day, it is impossible to plan a weekend, leave or start hours on a day of work,” said a press release.
At the origin of the movement, it is a collective of controllers who would like to remain anonymous. This is not the first time that the agents have been on strike during the holidays. Already during the holidays in 2022, but also during the February holidays last year. For its part, the management of the SNCF ensures that the dialogue continues with the unions.
