Certain opponents of the so -called DUPLumb agricultural bill denounce the supposed implication of the FNSEA in the drafting of the text. The unions of farmers firmly deny this accusation.
The DUPLomb bill, aimed at lifting the constraints of the exercise of the farmer’s profession, is the subject of denunciations by his opponents, accusing the National Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FNSEA) of having dictated the text. This, through its president Arnaud Rousseau, refuted these allegations on May 26 on Franceinfo.
If the bill has been co -signed by many senators, it is only one of them: Laurent Dupumb. He is himself a farmer by profession and former director of the FNSEA at the Haute-Loire Chamber of Agriculture. Compared to the demands brought by farmers in 2024, the text displays similarities with the text adopted in the Senate, sometimes to the nearest word. The name of the agricultural union also appears black on white on more than a hundred amendments deposited by the deputies.
