According to several political officials of the National Rally and Reconquest, the French Development Agency (AFD), would spend money from the French on projects they deem questionable. What about?

Does the AFD (French Development Agency) spend taxpayer money on ubiquitous projects around the world? This is the opinion of several political leaders of the national rally and reconquest. First of all, AFD is not an organization that is content to give money: it is an investment bank that finances projects related to the environment, health or education in developing countries.

For this purpose, it has an annual budget of around 12 billion euros. 2 billion come from public funds, therefore from the French state or from the European Union. The remaining 10 billion comes from private funds, money borrowed from the financial markets and re-presented to countries at higher rates, as would a conventional bank.

AFD also grants subsidies to certain countries, which represents around 15% of the projects funded.
