Asked about the suspension of the pension reform, the LFI deputy denounced the government’s intentions. During the committee’s examination of the Social Security financing bill for 2026, the deputies adopted, on Friday evening, the article providing for a modification of the timetable for application of the 2023 reform concerning the age of eligibility for retirement rights: “It’s not called a suspension of the pension reform, it’s called a one-year delay in the entry into force of retirement at age 64. The deputy addressed the socialists, who had pledged not to overthrow the government straight away in exchange for this suspension of the pension reform: “Recognize the impasse you have put yourself in and get out of this quagmire.” And according to him, the only “The way to get out of this quagmire is to immediately censor the government”. “We are ready, obviously, to table a motion of censure as soon as the socialists tell us ‘Now we are going to censor’. I am not going to table a motion of censure for fun”he explains.
