Despite more than a dozen Grand Prix to compete, Pierre Gasly has already made a cross on 2025 and is turned towards the next season.
Holiday time is about to ring for F1 drivers. The Hungarian Grand Prix scheduled for this weekend will indeed be the last before the traditional summer break. The pilots will therefore endeavor to finish this first half of the season on a good note.
This will notably be the case of Pierre Gasly, who will try to extend the lightening led to Belgium last weekend. The Normand has indeed entered the points thanks to a tenth place and therefore brought its total points to 20 units, which earned it to point 12e Place in the pilot ranking.
Twenty points, it is also the total of the Alpine stable points in the classification of the manufacturers, the French team while being left to point in the last place. And for Pierre Gasly, Alpine has nothing to expect from this season.
Pierre Gasly has confidence for 2026
“The reality is that the car has not changed from Barcelona and that it will not change by the end of the season. So you have to be lucid and realistic about what we can accomplish. And it will be very difficult to change our current position ”he said in remarks relayed by NextGen-Auto, preferring to turn to 2026.
“Steve Nielsen (new main team) arrives in September, and I think that its impact will be felt above all from 2026, even beyond. Honestly, he must focus on next year, he added. We know all the work that we provide for 2026, we are happy with the management taken and evolution. I have confidence. I believe in the team and in its ability to give me a competitive car next year. »»
