As revealed in a photo published this weekend by Marion Rousse, Julian Alaphilippe is hard at work in Spain preparing for the new season.
The holidays are over for Julian Alaphilippe. Last weekend, Marion Rousse published several souvenir photos of the couple with dog and child. Once again, the Alaphilippe family had preferred the charms of the Pyrenean mountains around Andorra to a more exotic destination.
But since this weekend, Julian Alaphilippe and Marion Rousse have been by the Mediterranean Sea. As evidenced by the new photo posted by the star consultant of France Télévisions. The former runner has in fact published a photo of the sunset over the bay of Calp.
A seaside town located in the province of Alicante, Calp has been favored by Julian Alaphilippe for many years. This is where the double French world champion returns, every December, for the coming season.
Julian Alaphilippe looking towards 2026
The city in southern Spain is known for welcoming many teams from the peloton for their pre-season training. Quick-Step had its headquarters there every year and Julian Alaphilippe kept this habit despite his time with Tudor last winter. He just had to change hotels, abandoning the glitzy Sol y Mar Gran Hotel with its sea view for a more remote Spanish family pension.
And after a complicated first season, notably due to various illnesses, Julian Alaphilippe is determined to play the leading roles next spring. His victory at the Montreal Grand Prix last September allows him to be optimistic.
