Many leisure centers offering a varied group of group activities have opened in recent years. Located in peri -urban areas, they are aimed at a young customers and offer accessible prices.
In the middle of an industrial area in the Paris suburbs, stuck between a hypermarket and an automotive workshop is a strange hangar. The space of 2,600 square meters turns into a click. A augmented reality karting track has just appeared: aboard a 100% electric kart, a group of friends evolves on a fictitious track, projected by lasers.
This very real race in a virtual environment, inspired by a famous video game, has a cost: 20 euros for 15 minutes. The concept is booming in France, and the franchise called “Battle Kart” opened 15 tracks in France in less than five years, including six for the year 2025. These new leisure centers have one thing in common: they are all installed in peri -urban areas. To seduce this younger clientele, a new park has chosen to accumulate a maximum of activities in a single place: bowling, darts, minigolf … Eleven disciplines are offered on 10,000 square meters in the heart of a shopping center.
