A breakdown a few days before Christmas. La Poste’s online services, including La Banque Postale, the Colissimo site and Digiposte, have been inaccessible on Monday, December 22, for several hours. “Since early this morning, an incident has affected access to your online banking and the mobile app. It is currently being resolved, our teams are doing everything they can to restore the service quickly”explains La Banque Postale on. “Our site is unavailable”displays, for its part, the Colissimo delivery service.
La Poste announced to franceinfo that it had been the victim of a cyberattack. “There is absolutely no impact on our customers’ data”says the group. Regarding deliveries, “the delivery of parcels and mail to homes is disrupted but assured at this stage as well as their collection at the post office”. The group says it has no “visibility on the return to normal”. This “incident” comes at the start of the busiest period for La Poste. Over the last two months of the year, the group sorts and distributes 180 million packages.
“An incident is currently preventing access to your customer area on the web. Our teams are working to restore service as quickly as possible. The mobile application is working normally. We apologize for the inconvenience caused”could also be read on the websites of the Banque Populaire and the Caisse d’Epargne at the end of the morning.
A spokesperson for the BPCE group (Popular Bank, Savings Bank) said “of a malfunction” in the morning, assuring that he had been “temporary” and that the situation was “back in order”. “The Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne apps are working normally again and regarding the websites it is progressive, currently being resolved”he added.
