While the vast majority of farmers’ blockades have been lifted, the Minister of Agriculture, Annie Genevard, took stock of the vaccination campaign against lumpy skin disease (LCD) in the south-west of France, in a message posted on the social network X, Saturday December 27. “Today, more than 50% of the 750,000 cattle have already been vaccinated”she wrote. “This is a major step forward for all breeders. The mobilization remains total in order to achieve the set objective”, she added. The minister announced to the Assembly on December 16 that she wanted to vaccinate 750,000 cattle.
