Two TGVs were delayed by more than 7.5 hours on Thursday, November 6, on arrival at Montpellier Saint-Roch station, after a personal accident in Burgundy which seriously disrupted rail traffic on Wednesday evening.

TGV 5036 from Lille Europe and TGV 9836 from Brussels-Midi are affected. They were initially scheduled to arrive at the station on Wednesday evening at 10:04 p.m. They arrived around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the station notice board.

Other trains to Paris Gare de Lyon were delayed on Wednesday evening because they had to be diverted to other lines to get around the accident and had to run on conventional lines. This Thursday morning, there are no longer any delays displayed for departures or arrivals from Paris Gare de Lyon, according to the SNCF website.

Contacted on Wednesday evening, the SNCF was unable to indicate the number of trains or the number of passengers concerned.
