Nafti in Algiers for the summit on colonialism

Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, is participating in Algiers in the International Conference on the Crimes of Colonialism as well as in the 12th edition of the Annual Forum on Peace and Security in Africa, organized from November 30 to December 2, 2025.

His participation comes on the instruction of President Kaïs Saïed and at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, Algerian Minister of State in charge of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs.

According to the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this presence is part of the theme chosen by the African Union for the year 2025, “Justice for Africans and people of African descent through reparation.” Tunis thus affirms “reiterate its commitment to African priorities, including the promotion of continental cooperation and common work in matters of peace and security”notes the MAE press release.

The Tunisian authorities believe that strengthening African mechanisms in this area constitutes an essential lever to face the security and political challenges that the continent continues to face.
