Many companies will have to adapt to hot weather. While the heat wave is in full swing this week on Monday, June 30, France Télévisions offers you an overview of new obligations to deal with the rise in temperatures.

Working all day next to burning pots to make candy is even more difficult for employees of the Kubli confectionery in the heat wave. “We always have the bottle of water next to it, and from time to time we take a sip. Otherwise, we cannot hold the day”comments an employee. Increasing the amount of drinking water for employees will be listed in the law. New obligations against hot weather will come into force.

In the workshop, at noon, the temperature reaches its peak: “For the moment, we are at nearly 33 degrees, 32.8 degrees”underlines Gilles Duault, director of the Kubli confectionery. In the labor code, there is no maximum temperature authorized to work. If the employee finds the conditions exaggerated, he can exercise his right of withdrawal. Jardiniers took their posts this Monday morning with new suitable equipment, also soon compulsory: capsquette and breathable clothes by more than 40 degrees outside.

With each heat wave, it will now be necessary to adapt the working hours and suspend the painful tasks during the hottest hours.
