New twist in the investigation into suspicions of corruption within the antisputing office

In 2023, members of the antisputing office monitored a van loaded with cocaine. While they did not intervene and the drug continued to flow, the police police grabbed the case.

Three members of the OFAST, the antisputants office, are indicted for importing drugs. IGPN, police policeeven suspects acts of corruption in certain Marseille police officers. The case dates back to 2023, while drug trafficking is ravaging in the Marseille city.

The OFAST employs major means, setting up a trap for traffickers with the support of its American counterparts. This is the start of the Trident operation.

Then starts a monitored delivery, a device which allows the judicial authority to give the police the possibility of following a delivery cargo. On April 4, 2023, the police allowed the drugs out of a van, which stores some 400 kilos of cocaine, the equivalent of 10 million euros, near a village.

For several weeks, the van is watched night and day. But before intervening, the police want to extend a trap at Mohamed Djea, considered the godfather of the Castellane, the biggest drug point of sale in Marseille. The days follow each other, customers parade, but still no arrest in the summer of 2023. While there is only one kilo of cocaine left, the IGPN seized the case in January 2024.
