One less option for Deschamps?

As the Blues’ rally approaches, a new hard blow from Italy could complicate the plans of Didier Deschamps.

The French team continued its qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup in October. The Blues will meet in Clairefontaine from Monday 6, before facing Azerbaijan on October 10 at the Parc des Princes, then going to Reykjavik three days later to face Iceland.

But before, Didier Deschamps must unveil his list this Thursday for these two decisive meetings. Several absences are already to be noted, in particular in attack, where Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué lack the call. The return of Rayan Cherki, who resumed training with Manchester City, could however create surprise.
