Riadh Chaoued: 230 community companies created, sixty of which are active

The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Riadh Chaoued, said that 230 community companies have been created so far, of which sixty have already started their activities.
This announcement was made during a joint session held on Friday, October 31, 2025, in Parliament between the Committee on Education, Vocational Training, Scientific Research, Youth and Sports and the Committee on Services and Social Development under the National Council of Regions and Districts.
The community companies program, specified the minister, currently mobilizes more than 15,000 participants, including 2,400 higher education graduates and 174 people with disabilities. These structures have already enabled the creation of 380 direct jobs.
Regionally, Béja occupies first place in terms of the creation of community societies, followed by Sidi Bouzid, Gafsa, Sfax, Kairouan, Zaghouan, Siliana, Médenine, Kasserine, Nabeul, Kébili, Tozeur, Jendouba, Mahdia, Tataouine, Monastir, Le Kef, Bizerte, Manouba, Sousse, Ben Arous, Gabès and Tunis. Ariana remains the only region where no community society has yet emerged.
For the year 2025, 88 companies received financing notifications for a total amount of 29.46 million dinars, according to figures communicated by the ministry.
Looking ahead to 2026, Riadh Chaoued stressed that the department intends to strengthen the governance of the project, both at the regional and national level. The program provides for the creation of 400 new community companies, the training of specialized coaches, the establishment of a guide dedicated to collective initiatives and the launch of a specific communication plan.
The ministry also plans to revise several legislative texts in order to improve the investment climate and support the sustainability of community projects.
