While he has only known the Stormers since the start of his career in 2022, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has decided to sign up for the long term with the team based in Cape Town through a new contract lasting until 2029.
The rising star of South African rugby has no plans to leave. Since his first selection with the Springboks in June 2024, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has quickly established himself as flyhalf in the eyes of Rassie Erasmus. A potential revealed by the Stormers since 2022 which could attract covetousness despite a contract extending until 2027 but the native of Cape Town put an end to the rumors concerning his future.

Not hiding that there is “always enthusiasm and interest when things start to go well”, the fly-half with 19 caps with the Springboks assures that what he has in Cape Town, “the team, the coaches, the connection with (his) supporters is exceptional”.
While the Stormers have embarked on a program called “Project 2029”, which consists of training a group of young players with high potential capable of building the future of the franchise, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu intends to take his full place. “The ambition is clear with Project 2029, and I want to be part of what we are building and the direction we are taking,” added the South African international in this press release.

The native of Cape Town will thus remain in an environment which has already allowed him to flourish at the highest level over the last three years and which should be favorable in his development with a view to the next deadlines both at club and national level.
Indeed, while South Africa will be one of the main favorites for a third world title in a row in 2027 during the World Cup organized in Australia, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu already appears to be a member of the team that Rassie Erasmus should compose for the event.
