The Chinese e-commerce giant is facing a revolt from the government and MPs, notably since the revelation on Saturday of the sale of child pornography dolls on its platform.

The National Assembly is putting pressure on Shein, following the government, which is initiating a procedure to temporarily suspend the platform in France. Shein, which has just opened its first store in the world at BHV in Paris, has been singled out for its aggressive commercial practices.

The company has been in turmoil since the revelation on Saturday, November 1, of the sale of sex dolls resembling little girls on the site. The deputies welcome this decision by the government and want to go further in the standoff.
