Solberg goes straight

With more than twenty seconds ahead of Ott Tänak before the last specials of this Sunday, Oliver Solberg goes straight to the first success of his career in WRC. Adrien Fourmaux is still 5th.

He is very close to his first WRC victory. Oliver Solberg is making a perfect weekend on the side of Estonia. At the wheel of his Toyota, the Swedish has not let go since the start of the rally. In the pace since Friday, Oliver Solberg has not stopped being on the attack, especially on Saturday by making the three scratch times during the first three specials of the day.

With more than 20 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak before the short stage of this Sunday, the Swedish, if he does not make an error, should obtain his first success in WRC. As a reminder, the 23 -year -old pilot disputes his first rally in the queen category in Estonia in Estonia since 2022. Behind the son of Petter, we find in particular Ott Tänak and Thierry Neuville. The first count, after the day of Saturday; 4 seconds ahead of the defending world champion.

Fourmaux always in the top 5

Behind the top three, we find in particular French Adrien Fourmaux. At the wheel of Hyundai, the Frenchman consolidated his fifth place ahead of Takamoto Katsuta by having almost 10 seconds in advance. However, it would take a miracle to see the Frenchman go higher in the ranking, he who is more than a minute late on Oliver Solberg.

This Sunday, three specials are scheduled who will thus be able to allow Solberg to join his father in the list of winners of Rally in WRC. As a reminder, Petter Solberg won 13 times in WRC and even won the world title in 2003 driving a Subaru Impreza.
