Switzerland signed a magnificent hat -trick during the descent of Kvitfjell, with the victory of Franjo von Allmen before Marco Odermatt and Stefan Rogentin. First French, Maxence Muzaton finished 13th.
Two weeks after the descent of Crans-Montana, the Swiss team did this! The Helvetians signed a new hat -trick this Saturday, this time during the descent of Kvitfjell. Friday, during the first descent on the Norwegian track, the Italian Dominik Paris had dominated four Swiss. This time, they took their revenge, with the victory of Franjo von Allmen before Marco Odermatt and Stefan Rogentin, Paris to be satisfied with sixth place.
Starting with bib 6, under a temperature of -2 ° C and a covered sky, Von Allmen dethroned Rogentin, who had launched three bibs before him, for 38 hundredths. Odermatt left with bib 11, and despite several small errors, he managed to interfere between his two compatriots, 28 hundredths from Von Allmen, but with 10 hundredths ahead of Rogentin.
At 23, the young Swiss, undoubtedly the revelation of the season, offers his third victory of the season, the third in the space of a month and a half. Switzerland may have already found the successor of Odermatt, who is only 27 years old, and who rises on his fifteenth podium of the season. For Rogentin (30 years in May), this is his fourth podium for the 2024-25 exercise (only third places).
The little globe will be played in Sun Valley
On the French side, there are three of them to finish in the Top 20: Maxence Muzaton 13th, Nils allegre 14th and Adrien Théaux 17th. Following this race, Marco Odermatt is not yet guaranteed to win the little globe of the descent, because he has “only” 83 points ahead of Franjo Van Allmen. Everything will therefore be played during the Sun Valley finals in three weeks, where 100 points will be at stake. The finals in which ALLGRE (9th) and Muzaton (20th) will take part. To general, Odermatt is 520 points ahead of Henrik Krisfuffersen, and has almost the big globe in his pocket. Sunday, a super-G will be on the program.
