Sex dolls of a child pornography nature, offered for sale on AliExpress, have been removed from the Chinese e-commerce platform, Franceinfo noted on Monday, November 3 on the reseller’s website, confirming information from RMC. This withdrawal comes after the report targeting the competing platform Shein. The Asian e-commerce giant has been singled out by the crackdown on fraud in France for the marketing of child pornography sex dolls.

It is about “real silicone doll” qualified as “real doll, adult male” on the AliExpress site, sold for 247 euros, the photo of which is similar to the model which was on sale on the Shein platform. These dolls have since been removed from the Shein platform. As of Monday morning, these announcements are no longer available on the AliExpress website either. It is unknown, at this stage, whether the DGCCRF has been contacted regarding AliExpress.
