The embroiderers put the work of the thread up to date

Camille Quentel, resident of Caen, in Calvados, is a professional embroiderer. The young woman shares all her tips on Instagram to transmit the art of thread. However, when she started last year on social networks, the designer has come up against a lot of skepticism: “I was told ‘you launch yourself in something worthy of a granny”she recalls. Camille persevered, “Sure” of his “”Modern creations“”.

Like her, hundreds of influencers started to embroider. A whole new generation customized and personalized jeans, walls, and even ties. This passion for needle works is often a story of a family tradition. Camille holds her from her grandmother, whose she keeps the “embroidery drum”. But we are far from the old -fashioned image of the grandmother who make place up: embroidery has evolved and professionalized, especially in the field of haute couture.
