“A platform that allows the sale of pornographic content or weapons on its service does not correspond to EU standards, EU values and EU laws”also estimated Thomas Regnier during a press conference. The Commission has “took note” of France’s decision to initiate a procedure to suspend the site and recalls that it was taken “on the basis of French law”. “We are in contact with Shein and we will be in contact today with the French authorities”the spokesperson said, adding that the Commission had written to the Chinese company.
