This 37 -year -old mother will succumb to her injuries three days later. A fatal accident that occurred following the explosion with a defective airbag of the Takata brand. By exploding, it can project metallic debris on the driver.

“”A few years ago, Citroën had made a first reminder and my spouse asked me to check her airbag. At the time, his car was not concerned. (…) The recall went until 2013 and unfortunately for us, the car was from 2014, a year old. I lost my spouse because of that. I have hatred of having lost my wife in these conditions. A security organ that kills you, it should not exist“, Book Vincent Dupré.

The victim’s family today pursues Stellantis in justice. The automotive group, for its part, ensures that a reminder of the vehicle was sent to the address corresponding to the vehicle’s gray card, but it was no longer valid. An argument refuted today by the family lawyer. “”Insurance was at the address of Madame. She regularly received promotional offers or SMS informing her of the commercial operations implemented by Citroën. Following this accident, the government ordered car manufacturers to immobilize 800,000 additional vehicles. In France, in total, 1.7 million cars are affected by these airbag problems.
