The general secretary of the CGT Sophie Binet calls on France Inter to “wake up” facing an operation “general anesthesia” implemented by the government on the budget, she believes. The CGT, FSU and Solidaires are calling for demonstrations and strikes on Tuesday December 2 against the government’s draft budget.
“The basic problem is that no one understands anything about this budget anymore”believes Sophie Binet. “The government has put in place a ‘general anesthesia’ operation to ensure that there is a wait-and-see attitude and a form of fatalism. And so, what we are saying is that we have to wake up since things are playing out now.”
This strike day is a “alert day”, she said, calling for “maintain the pressure, maintain social mobilization to be able to remove all the horrors which are still contained in the draft budget”.
