The first weekend of departure on vacation is strongly disrupted for those who had planned to take the plane. Air controllers’ strike has significant repercussions on traffic. More than 1,000 flights were canceled on Friday July 4.

In total, more than a thousand flights were canceled during the day from France or on arrival, including 40 % of cancellations from Paris airports.
The south of France was also strongly affected: 30 % of cancellations in Lyon (Rhône), Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) or Ajaccio (Corse-du-Sud) and even 50 % in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes). Disturbances caused by a strike by air controllers. Some travelers regret paying the consequences. “I understand their approach a little bit, but he should do it another day than the day of the big departures”, suggested one of them.
