In Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), Validate your paper ticket now belongs to the past. Since October 1, cardboard transport tickets have disappeared. Among the passers -by interviewed, the initiative arouses shared opinions. For some, the ticket is already almost forgotten: “I have one in my wallet, but it’s very rare.” Others, on the other hand, are concerned about a lack of accessibility for seniors: “The question is: can it still be useful for very elderly people, I don’t know, who can have problems with digital?” wonders a resident. Place now in contactless tickets, available individually or rechargeable.
Same thing in Paris: since October 1, the cardboard ticket has gradually disappeared. It is now no longer possible to buy them in bus or tram stations, and in a month, the drivers will no longer sell.
In the capital, the telephone becomes the main transport title and it is widely acclaimed. “I find that it is rather practical, it replaces a card in case there is a forgetfulness”, says a USAGE in public transport. Less time spent in front of the automata, everything is now done via the phone. For another user interviewed, the dematerialized ticket also saves time: “I spend less time looking for the Navigo pass. I also find that there are much less reading problems than when it was by card.”
This dematerialization of the ticket tends to become widespread in all major cities.
