Christelle Morançais (Horizons) claims to have been forced to leave the council “in haste and under police escort” due to the violent behavior of union representatives.

The president of the Pays de la Loire region Christelle Morançais (Horizons) announces that she is filing a complaint against X after being the victim of insults and physical threats, reports ICI Loire Océan this Wednesday. The facts date back to Friday November 28, during the supervisory board of the port of Nantes-Saint-Nazaire, which the elected official chaired.
Facts “perfectly unacceptable”attributed to “certain union representatives”writing Christelle Morançais in a press release. She also mentions “the explosion of an artificial mortar” less than a meter from her and her teams. The president of the Region also had to leave the supervisory board “in haste and under police escort”.
The management of the port of Nantes-Saint-Nazaire also denounced “this violent behavior and these insulting remarks”. Of the “unacceptable actions contrary to the values of the establishment”.
The Court of Auditors published a report on September 1 which points to dysfunctions at the port of Nantes-Saint-Nazaire. It highlights the vulnerability of the port, the blockages, the strike notices (326 filed in 2023) and “social movements characterized by a significant level of verbal and physical violence”.
After its publication, a recovery plan was initiated by the management board, at the request of the State and the supervisory board, chaired by Christelle Morançais.
