It is a new increase for stamps. The postage price of letters and packages will increase on an average of 7.4% on January 1, 2026, the post office announced on Monday, July 28 in a statement consulted by AFP. Regarding everyday shipments, it will reach 9.35% for the green letter, going from 1.39 euros today to 1.52 euros in 2026. In 2025, these prices had already increased by 6.8%.

The public group justifies this increase in prices by the need “to ensure the sustainability of the universal postal service with high quality”, While the decline in the number of letters transported continues to reduce postal income for years.
