We have seen them surge in our cities in recent years: practical, but also dangerous, electric scooters are now part of the urban landscape. And it’s not over: rollerblades and skateboards are also equipped with a motor.

They invaded the asphalt. Scooters, rollerblades and skateboards electric cars slalom between cars and pedestrians. For many French people, it has even become a daily means of transport.
In Bordeaux (Gironde), an electric skateboard is arousing the curiosity of urban residents. Future customers wanted to test it. First challenge: keep your balance on the board placed on three wheels. To accelerate or brake, a connected remote control, but there is no question of exceeding the authorized speed: 25 km/h in town. “It’s impressive, visually, for people who aren’t used to it. But once you get on it, it’s gone.”says Adrien Ladan, co-founder of Sternboard. In just a few minutes, a salesperson has already adopted it and can already see themselves using it. “For example, I take the train and then I drive a few kilometers into town, so super flexibleconfides Tristan Duriveault, future client.
At the origin of this electric skateboard, two young engineers passionate about sliding. Adrien and Édouard dreamed of building their all-terrain board. “We really made it for us. We really wanted to have fun and surf in any season and anywhere. And since I’m an electronic engineer, it didn’t take me long to put motors on it”says Édouard Aubert, co-founder of Sternboard. Still count 2,000 euros at entry level.
Latest, the world’s first electric roller skates designed by Mido Soliman. The young man who grew up in Seine-Saint-Denis was inspired by the comics of his childhood. “Honestly, it’s just crazy. I feel like I’m in the manga I saw when I was little. All that’s missing is the headphones and it’s a crazy feeling of freedom.”comments the young man. The roller skates are made in a workshop in Picardy. Thanks to a motor integrated into the wheel, you can reach 50 km/h.
Mido came in person to present its latest creations to customers who are discovering its new generation skates for the first time, sold for 650 euros. Pairs that can already be found on the streets of London (England) and New York (United States). Today, more than 2.5 million French people use these electric vehicles in their daily travels.
