“It is once again a law that does not meet the needs of the French in any way”Estimate Wednesday March 26 on Franceinfo the deputy La France Insoumise Aurélie found. On Tuesday, the National Assembly Committee on the National Assembly rejected a text aimed at hardening the conditions allowing to remain in social housing, after the abolition, on the initiative of the left -wing deputies, of the entire substance of the text. The text will therefore arrive in its initial version on March 31 in front of the deputies.

The text, deposited by the former macronist minister of housing Guillaume Kasbarian, must strengthen the conditions for maintaining social housing, notably by strengthening the examination of the revenues of the tenants, and by establishing a control of the heritage of the beneficiaries. According to Aurélie found, “This bill is based on a lie”. “There is no social housing for life” because households whose revenues increased after their installation “already pay an overview.”

She also insists that this “Law attacks 15,000 households, while there are 2.7 million requests for social housing”. She judges that “For households that remain in working -class neighborhoods”their presence is a factor of “Social diversity”. “We are fed up with a bill which is ineffective and counterproductive, and which will, in addition, remove from social diversity in working-class neighborhoods”she judges. She also recalls that “All tenant associations are against”.

For the member of Seine-Saint-Denis, “We are in a catastrophic situation” especially because “that we have never built so much social housing”. It points to the responsibility of the government which “Practice huge budget cuts in housing”. “There are fewer and fewer means for social landlords”she denounces. “We must build social housing and that the municipalities respect the law” SRU, which requires certain municipalities to have a minimal number of social housing.
