A week after its heavy defeat on the Bordeaux pitch, Toulon raised its head this Sunday, winning 31-16 against Perpignan on the 13th day of the Top 14. The Varois are 3rd in the championship.
A week after a heavy and scathing defeat on the lawn of Bordeaux (46-7), Toulon responded in the best way this Sunday, by quite easily disposing of the red lantern in the championship (31-16). A meeting which started perfectly for a Var team quickly put into orbit thanks to the first try of the game scored by Ludlam (15th) immediately transformed by Domon. Despite this, the RCT thwarted even seeing Perpignan pass in front at the break after a try from Granell, transformed by Reus, then a penalty scored by the same Reus.
Trailing by three points after the first forty minutes of play, Toulon was able to react upon returning from the locker room by quickly taking back the reins of the match after the tries of Alainu’uese then Billiere, both transformed by Domon and Garbisi to allow the club from the south of France to regain the upper hand over their opponent.
