RC Toulon is determined to strengthen its scrum halves. This Thursday, the Var club put an end to the suspense concerning the future of Baptiste Serin with the French international who signed a contract covering two additional years.

Arriving in the Harbor in the summer of 2023 after wearing the colors of Leicester Tigers and London Irish, Ben White is clearly not decided to leave in the short or medium term.

White does like Serin

Indeed, through a press release, the RCT announced the contract extension of the native of Stoke-on-Trent for the next two seasons, until June 2028. A player “endowed with natural leadership and the character of a great competitor”, as the club confides in its press release, which also highlights “his sense of the game, his rigor and his international experience” which are “major assets for the Toulon group”. Aligned 22 times in all competitions by Pierre Mignoni during his first season in Toulon, Ben White played 17 matches during the 2024-2025 financial year.

“An intelligent, demanding and highly respected player” for Mignoni

Sharing this responsibility with Baptiste Serin and Clovis Le Bail since the start of the season, the Scottish international has been fielded five times by the RCT, including two as a starter. In addition, he was on the scoresheet during the XV du Chardon’s defeat against New Zealand last weekend and will start this Sunday when they host Argentina.

“Ben White has integrated perfectly into the club’s project,” said Pierre Mignoni in the Var club’s press release. He is an intelligent, demanding and well-respected player in the locker room. Its extension is a continuation of our vision: building a solid, ambitious group that is faithful to the values of the RCT. »
