This Thursday, the route for the 2026 edition of the Tour de France was officially revealed, with a start from Barcelona in Spain.
The men’s peloton is in turn fixed. This Thursday, after the announcement of the route of the Tour de France Women with Zwift, it was that of the 2026 edition of the Tour de France men which was revealed, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. The 113th edition of history will take place between Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 26. The 21 stages will take riders from Barcelona to the Champs-Elysées. It was on June 18, 2024 that Christian Prudhomme, the director of the Tour de France, announced that this 2026 edition would leave from the Spanish city.
As planned, the first two stages will take place around this one, as well as the start of the third, which will then end in France, in Les Angles. The details of these first steps were communicated on February 25. At that time, it was revealed that the first stage would be a team time trial of a total of 19.1 kilometers, within the city of Barcelona. The second stage, a total of 178 kilometers long, will then connect Tarragona to Barcelona. The next day, the third stage will leave Granollers to reach France.
