Victor Perez comes back in the hierarchy. The Frenchman, author, this Friday, of a hole in one, had less success, this Saturday, during the US Open of Golf disputed on the side of Oakmont, in the State of Pennsylvania. With a map of 73, three bogeys but no birdie, the tricolor came out of the top 10. Now eleventh, Perez finds himself equally with nine other golfers.
The first place remains occupied by the American Sam Burns, after the third round. Behind him, several competitors remain, despite everything, in ambush. Starting with JJ SPAUN, still second in one blow. Now 28 years old and current 22nd world player, Burns has a total of five victories, to his credit, on the PGA circuit. However, his record remains virgin in major. This Saturday, the American made a card of 69 (one blow under the par), with a total of three birdies as well as two Bogeys.

At the end of his performance, Burns confided, in remarks reported by theAFP : “I did not hit the ball as well as hopeless but when I was out of position I did a good job to find the fairway. Second, Spaun, 25th world player and now 34 years old, savor his performance: “I play the best golf course in my career, for sure. However, the golfer is no longer alone in this second place.
Indeed, he was joined by the Australian Adam Scott (44), who won the 2013 edition of the Masters and who was the author of the best card of the day (67). A performance appreciated by the main interested party: “I have not been in this kind of good position for five or six years. In fourth position, we find the Norwegian Viktor Hovland, three shots. Author of three Bogeys on his last five holes, North Irish Rory McILroy, winner of the Masters in April, is only 49th at 14 shots.
