In a state of grace, McLaren still crushed Formula 1
At the Belgian Grand Prix this Sunday that Oscar Piastri won ahead of his teammate Lando Norris. Yet who left for pole position, the latter did not resist the Australian from the 5th round of a delayed race of more than an hour due to torrential rain falling on the flat country. The racing cars left the stands and rolled behind the Safety because for four laps. A smiling scenario in McLaren who signs a third consecutive double, the sixth of the season.
Behind the orange single -seaters, Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) has retained his third place from start to finish, resistant to Max Verstappen (Red Bull). The world champion is followed by George Russell (Mercedes) who managed to take up the ascendancy over Alexander Albon (Williams), who left a rank in front of him at the start of the race. In seventh position, we find the most beautiful comeback of this Grand Prix, that of Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari). The Briton, 18th of the hierarchy, went up one by one his rivals to this 7th unexpected position.
Hadjar Grand loser of the day
Less spectacular, Pierre Gasly (Alpine) also made a remarkable rise, from 13th to 10th place granting him a point. On the other hand, the two other French French people were not at such a party. Esteban Ocon (Haas) fell from 11th to 15th position. As of Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls), 8th at the start, he was driven back to the last row!
The transition to the stand after the interruption of the rain caused him a lot of wrong. Loor of the mediums that did not suit him, he had to go back to see his mechanics who mounted hard. But too late.
