
Walid Regragui saw his name being whistled by the Moroccan public on the sidelines of the Atlas Lions’ decisive match against Zambia this Monday evening.
Big favorites of “his” African Cup of NationsMorocco is not yet officially qualified for the round of 16. The fault was a draw conceded against Mali (1-1), five days after its inaugural success against the Comoros (2-0).
Coming out of the draw against the Eagles, Walid Regragui was not spared from criticism. Moroccan fans were particularly virulent towards their coach on social networks, some demanding his departure in the middle of the tournament.
