In France, villages are currently experiencing network coverage losses, due to what is called the pylons war. This is the case in Heiligenberg (Bas-Rhin).
Madeleine Ries has constantly network problems And she has almost enough. “I call someone and in full conversation we are cut”she knows. This retiree found himself without mobile coverage for five months, however the village of Heiligenberg (Bas-Rhin) has three telephony pylons. But two years ago, the lease of the land on which the only pylon was then installed. A new company therefore arrives and offers a gold price rent to set up its pylons.
But that’s where troubles start. The Tower Company, Valocime, has approached the mayor of Heiligenberg. Its prices are very attractive but each time the operators do not follow. In this town in Bas-Rhin, the outgoing company dismantled its pylon but also the antennas of operators.
Other communities have also encountered difficulties after playing the competition. This is the case of Reillanne (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) or Brest (Finistère). They put themselves in a pylons war without knowing it.
