WRC: The 2026 calendar unveiled



The 2026 season calendar is known. The FIA unveiled this Thursday the 14 rounds of the next WRC season between January and mid-November.

Since Thursday, we have known the calendar of the 2026 season of the World Rally Championship. The season will start well in Monte-Carlo next January before ending in mid-November in Saudi Arabia. The Rally of Croatia returns to the program and replaces that of Central Europe, organized since 2023 in Germany, in the Czech Republic and Austria. For its part, the Japanese rally is advanced in the calendar 2026.

Croatia returns

The meeting in Monte-Carlo is already noted in the agenda for most WRC fans. The season will be launched on January 22 in the Principality. 14 rounds on the program with an end on the Saudi Arabia rally from November 12 to 15, 2026. This season, for its first edition, the Saudi rally is already closing the year 2025. We will note as the main novelty reintegration into the Croatia rally program (April 9-12, 2026) which was on the calendar between 2021 and 2024. Spanish rally. This arrival, the central European rally makes it the price, while it has been on the program since 2023. This season, it is also scheduled in mid-October.

Regarding the Japan rally, scheduled for the end of the year, it will take place as the 7th stage of the calendar (May 28-31, 2026). Next year, the pilots will be entitled to four asphalt rounds on the first seven of the season, in order to remove the scanning phenomenon. The Rally of Sardinia is therefore scheduled for the end of the season, as the penultimate stage of the season. Regarding technical regulations, no change should be noted. The rally1 for its part will begin its last season with the generation of current cars before experiencing a turning point for 2027.
