Lorena Wiebes won the third stage of the Tour de France women in Angers after a well -conducted sprint against Marianne Vos, who seizes the yellow jersey.
While Alison Jackson (EF Education-Oatly), Sara Martin (Movistar), Catalina Soto Campos (Labor Kutxa-Fundacion Euskadi) and Clémence Latimier (Arkéa-B&B Hotels Women) had started the breakaway of the day, the runners finally saw the peloton come back to 6km from the finish. A fall in a turn 3.5 km from the end of the stage broken the peloton, seeing Lorena Wiebes take control of the leading group. The Dutchman (SD Worx-Protime) won the sprint in front of Marianne Vos (Visma-lease a bike) who for her part seizes the yellow jersey.
